Data Acquisition is a process of obtaining data from various sources, including real-world phenomena, such as temperature, pressure, sound, and other physical variables. An Analog to Digital Converter, or ADC, is a device that converts these signals into digital signals. The Texas Instruments’ TLC2543ING4 is an example of a low-power 14-bit ADC that can be used for data acquisition applications.
