The TLC25L2BCD is a precision dual slope analogue to digital converter (ADC) designed for use in very low power applications. It is the ideal choice for applications where accuracy and low power are the paramount demands. The device is part of the Linear range of amplifiers, instrumentation, operational amplifiers, buffer amplifiers and other related products.

The TLC25L2BCD uses a ‘dual slope’ sampling technique to convert analog signals into digital ones. It works by integrating the input signal over a defined period of time, after which an analogue to digital conversion is performed. The integration is done using a capacitor, where the input to this capacitor is the signal that is to be converted. Then the capacitor is discharged through an externally supplied resistor.
