Working Principle
The TLC272BCD is a monolithic linear amplifier operating on a single supply. It features a wide input common-mode range of 0V to VCC and can operate from 1.8V to 5.5V, making it compatible with single-cell lithium-ion, alkaline and nickel-metal hydride batteries.The core of the chip is composed of four OP amps configured as unity-gain followers, with the input signal applied to the negative inputs and the output of each amplifier taken from the corresponding positive input. Each amplifier is configured with a common-mode range of 0V to VCC, allowing the amplifier to accept single-supply signals of both polarities.The TLC272BCD also features an enabled/disable pin, which can be used to reduce the power consumption of the amplifier. When this pin is taken low, the amplifier is enabled and all four OP amps provide unity-gain gain following.
