TLC2932IPWR are versatile programmable clock generator ICs which can be used to provide frequency synthesis, clock generation and buffering, jitter cleanup and drift control in applications such as industrial and consumer electronics, medical systems, telecommunications, military, and aerospace. The device offers excellent phase jitter performance, high output clock frequencies, wide band low cost oscillator, and fast locking times at a low power consumption.

TLC2932IPWR is includes an integrated voltage controlled oscillator (VCO), an output divider, phase lock loop (PLL), phase detector, and Charge Pump. The core of the device is an analog phase locked loop (PLL) that allows the user to precisely control the output frequency from a wide range of external oscillator sources. The PLL is used to control the phase and frequency of the VCO that outputs the desired frequency. The output divider enables the user to select the volatile clock divider for achieving the desired frequency. The phase detector is used to compare the PLL input reference clock and the VCO output frequency and to vary the current through the Charge Pump.
