Analog-to-digital converters (ADC) are a crucial device when moving data from the analog world to the digital one. This voltage is compared with the analog input signal, and the differences are noted.In the result stage, the binary bits are adjusted based on the difference noted in the converter stage. This process is repeated until the differences are negligible. At this point, the SAR has converged to the best-approximation solution.
The TLC3574IPW offers excellent performance for a 12-bit SAR with an integral nonlinearity of ±1 LSB, differential nonlinearity of ±2 LSB, and a maximum total unadjusted error of ±4.5 LSB. Furthermore, it features an offset error of ±1 LSB and a gain error of ±1 LSB.
The TLC3574IPW also offers a variety of useful features. It has a wide supply voltage range (2.7 V – 6 V), allowing it to be operated with any type of supply voltage.
