TLC540IFNR is an ultralow-power 6-bit A/D converter that operates from a single power supply with a minimum supply voltage of ±1.5V. It is especially designed for low-voltage, low power sensing applications and converts analog input signals into digital values with a resolution of 1 million samples per second.TLC540IFNR can be used in a wide range of data acquisition applications such as temperature, pressure, current, voltage, and optical sensing. With the addition of an external amplifier, it can provide an even higher resolution than what is offered by the internal circuit. It can also be used in medical instrumentation, medical diagnostics, and even robotics.The working principle of the TLC540IFNR circuit is based on a delta-sigma architecture. It uses a delta-sigma bit-expander and a sample/hold circuit to detect and sample input signals. The sample/hold circuit stores the sample and the delta-sigma bit-expander then expands the input signal. After the conversion process is complete, the digital output is sent to the output pin.In order to ensure high accuracy, the TLC540IFNR uses dynamic offset corrections and high accuracy internal reference. The reference can be either an internal VDD reference or an external reference source with a voltage range of 0 to 4.5V.
