    TLE9252VSKXUMA1 is a Three-Phase Brushless DC Motor Pre-Driver integrated circuit (IC) designed for use in a wide range of automotive applications such as power steering, radiator cooling, fuel pumps and jacking systems. This integrated circuit includes a pre-driver stage, a three-phase buffer stage and a voltage regulator for a low-voltage regulation of the motor supply voltage. It operates from a 5V supply and provides a differential output with a maximum current of 250mA. It also includes an open drain output to detect the speed of the motor and a low-side inhibit for motor coasting.     TLE9252VSKXUMA1 is part of the TX family of three-phase buffer pre-drivers, which provide a high-performance and reliable solution for controlling permanent magnet-brushless DC motors in automotive applications. This enables designers to easily and quickly upgrade and deploy the most advanced brushless DC motor pre-drivers in their designs.    TLE9252VSKXUMA1 is a programmable device and allows designers to easily set parameters, such as timing, voltage levels, and gain, to optimize the performance of the pre-driver. It also includes a low-dropout regulator and output protection to ensure an optimal level of voltage regulation and provide added protection against overcurrent, undercurrent, and transients.     The TLE9252VSKXUMA1 IC operates in three modes: Idle Mode, with a duty cycle between 0 and 100%, Forward Mode, with a duty cycle from 0 to 100%, and Reverse Mode, with a duty cycle from -100 to 0%. The pre-driver supports speeds up to 16kHz with a compare time of 250ns. In addition, it features an adjustable RDSON and a low-side inhibit pin.     The working principle of the IC is as follows: The pre-driver receives a 5V logic signal on a logic input pin and passes it through an internal circuit to regulate it according to the current mode, whether Idle, Forward, or Reverse. It then amplifies the signal, which drives the external three-phase circuit of the brushless DC motor.     The TLE9252VSKXUMA1 IC is highly suited for use in automotive applications where its low-power design and ability to reduce electrolytic capacitor usage allow for significant cost and space savings.
