TLK2541PFPG4 is a Fibre Channel 3.3V/1.8V transceiver module with four low-power PECL outputs. It provides a cost-effective solution for optical networking applications and is ideal for point-to-point and multi-point applications. The TLK2541 is designed to meet the requirements of the National Semiconductor Fibre Channel Driver and Receiver Family.
Application Field
The TLK2541PFPG4 transceiver is designed for optical applications in the Fibre Channel data communication environment. Flexible output configurations are designed to support optical line interfaces and WDF data rates from 2.7 Gb/s up to 10.7 Gb/s. Key applications include high speed serial links such as optical swap interfaces, line interfaces for Fibre Channel applications, and interconnects for storage area networks (SANs). The module requires only one +3.3V power supply and has an extended temperature range of -40°C to +85°C.Working Principle
The TLK2541 transmits and receives differential signals over a pair of optical fibers and is constructed using an integrated, high-speed transceiver circuit. The module is designed such that the total insertion loss (TIL) is no more than 2 dB. The internal receiver circuit incorporates adaptive equalization and automatic gain control to achieve high performance over extended fibre lengths and optical line rates. The TLK2541 extends the possibilities of optical applications by providing a low-cost, easily configurable, open-loop optical interface.Features
