Optoisolators, or optocouplers, are devices used to provide electrical isolation between two circuits. These devices isolate the inputs from the outputs, preventing noise generated from one device from affecting the control parameters of another. The TLP2367 is a logic output optoisolator produced by Toshiba that provides high-speed logic output isolation.
The TLP2367 is a Gallium Arsenide (GaAs) optoisolator. Its input is an infrared emitting Gallium Arsenide (GaAs) infrared diode and its output is a Phototransistor. The TLP2367 is designed to provide conversion of logic signals between TTL and CMOS devices. It is a single channel optoisolator, meaning it has one input (the GaAs diode) and one output (the Phototransistor). The optoisolator takes an input voltage of 2.7V minimum to 5.5V maximum, and uses a minimum input current of 0.3 mA. The maximum fowdard voltage drop across the input diode is 1.2V. The current across the output Phototransistor is a minimum of 0.4mA and a maximum of 8mA.
The logic output from the TLP2367 optoisolator is ideal for in industrial applications where noise reduction is needed. This includes high-speed logic signal conversion and isolation, noise suppression, over-voltage protection, power supply solutions, and more.
