Transient Voltage Suppressors (TVSs) are used for protection of semiconductor devices, such as integrated circuits, from transients and surges caused by electrostatic discharge, contact discharge, lightning and inductive switching. TVSs are usually divided into two categories, Varistors and Metal Oxide Varistors (MOVs).The TMOV14R300M is a MOV of the TMOV series manufactured by Littelfuse. These MOVs are designed to protect electronic and electrical equipment in AC line connected applications from overvoltage transients. This type is designed to replace conventional MOVs in most applications.

The TMV14R300M is a radial leaded, single-phase overvoltage protector designed to fit standard subminiature packages.
