Working Principle

The TMP75CQDRQ1 temperature sensor uses a resistive heating element made out of a silicon-based MEMS material. This element is placed in contact with the package, which contains a thermistor that senses the ambient temperature. When current is applied to the heating element, its temperature is increased, and the thermistor senses the change in temperature due to the heat transfer between the element and the package. The thermistor converts the ambient temperature into a digital code, which is then output by the sensor.
