As a member of the latest 2nd generation TMS320C28x platform of microcontrollers, it features high-performance single-cycle peripherals, 16-bit C28x CPU and sophisticated system functions such as floating-point computation and hardware-near processing.The TMS320F28026DAS is a low-power, single-chip microcontroller. It combines a 16-bit C28x CPU, advanced 48-MHz floating-point and digital signal-processing cores, 32-bit volatile/nonvolatile memory, peripheral interface and system control functions into a single package. The F28026DAS provides up to 72KB of Flash ROM and 4KB of SRAM in a single-chip solution.The TMS320F28026DAS is an ideal solution for applications requiring high level of integration and performance, while still maintaining low power. It is suitable for a wide range of applications, from automotive and industrial to consumer and communication. It can be used for embedded control such as motor control, real-time control, power converters, audio signal processing, automotive diagnostics, and other applications that require a high-speed processor and real-time centralized control.The TMS320F28026DAS is based on the Texas Instruments’ TMS320C28x microcontroller architecture, which includes a 16-bit CPU, as well as multiple 32-bit floating-point and advanced digital signal-processing (DSP) cores. The CPU is capable of processing up to 48 MHz, while the digital signal processor cores have speeds up to 24 MHz. The on-chip memory includes up to 72KB of flash ROM and 4KB of SRAM memory. The F28026DAS also supports a wide range of peripherals and communication protocols, including UART, CAN, LIN, I2C, SPI, SCI, and PWM. It is also capable of direct memory access (DMA) and has an analog-to-digital converter (ADC).The TMS320F28026DAS also features an optimized peripheral set that offers several powerful system control functions. Its integrated peripherals include two enhanced capture and compare (ECAP) timers, four general-purpose inputs and outputs (GPIOs), one pulse-width modulation (PWM) controller and two serial communication interfaces (SCIs).
