The TPS2001DDGK also offers a configurable fault output, that can detect high temperature, short circuits, and over-current conditions. In the event of a fault being detected, the output will go low setting the chip into a latch-off state and providing the user notification of a fault. The device also has an adjustable current sense level and is programmable with a SPI-controlled serial interface.
