The Evaluation Module (EVM) contains two line drivers, one low-side driver, and one open-collector 50 mA output driver. The TPS22925EVM offers designers the ability to evaluate several low quiescent current gate drivers in a single package.

The TPS22925EVM enables designers to evaluate a low quiescent current gate driver with features such as adjustable current-limited high-side driver and undervoltage lockout (UVLO) function. Working Principle

The TPS22925EVM provides two line drivers, one high-side driver and one open-collector 50mA output driver. This EVM is powered by a 3.3V or 5V power supply. The TPS22925EVM is also provided with a set of connectors for applying external signals, such as enable, blanking, and overcurrent protection, which can be supplied either directly or by the graphical user interface (GUI) software suite.

The high-side (HS) gate driver can be adjusted up to 2.4A to operate at higher current than the open-collector (OC) gate driver. The current operating limit of the TPS22925EVM HS gate driver is set to 0.6A by default and can be adjusted up to 2.4A. At these higher current settings, the turn-on source current is reduced to minimize the voltage drop across the device.

The TPS22925EVM also provides UVLO functional protection for the input supply. This enables detection of low voltage situations that could be potentially dangerous in the application. The adjustable UVLO voltage range is from 3.5V - 13.5V. The advantage of adjustable UVLO is that even when the circuit supply voltage is lower than the UVLO voltage, the power device can still be activated with an external voltage source.

The GUI software for the TPS22925EVM has several features such as signal monitoring, real-time voltage/current measurements, and maintainability. This software also has several other features such as waveform and pulse-width modulation mode for operating the device in different operating conditions. The software also helps in setting up the device registers for a particular application.
