Working Principle

The TPS22925EVM provides two line drivers, one high-side driver and one open-collector 50mA output driver. This EVM is powered by a 3.3V or 5V power supply. The TPS22925EVM is also provided with a set of connectors for applying external signals, such as enable, blanking, and overcurrent protection, which can be supplied either directly or by the graphical user interface (GUI) software suite.

The high-side (HS) gate driver can be adjusted up to 2.4A to operate at higher current than the open-collector (OC) gate driver. The current operating limit of the TPS22925EVM HS gate driver is set to 0.6A by default and can be adjusted up to 2.4A. At these higher current settings, the turn-on source current is reduced to minimize the voltage drop across the device.

The TPS22925EVM also provides UVLO functional protection for the input supply. This enables detection of low voltage situations that could be potentially dangerous in the application. The adjustable UVLO voltage range is from 3.5V - 13.5V.
