Evaluation and Demonstration Boards and Kits – TPS22917EVMThe TPS22917EVM is an evaluation and demonstration board, used to easily demonstrate the capabilities of several Texas Instruments’ (TI) devices, such as the TPS22917 and TPS22919. The boards are designed to allow users to easily evaluate the features, functions and performance of these TI devices without having to design a custom circuit board. The TPS22917EVM provides an easy-to-use platform to quickly build and debug a system that utilizes the TPS22917/19 Digital Load Switches. The EVM can be powered up with 5V and 3.3V or 1.8V DC for the load switch. It provides several different ways to measure the load switch performance and monitor the load switch status, such as toggling the enable/disable, reading the load switch status, current measurement, and voltage measurement. The TPS22917EVMs have two primary applications in the research fields. One is for power-up/down sequencing, which means the power-up and/or power-down sequencing can be quickly implemented and tested using the provided control circuitry. And the other is drive/sense control. This configuration allows for current, voltage, and faulty condition monitoring and control.In terms of working principle, a Digital Load Switch is an electronic switch device used to control current flows and power sequencing ICs.
