The TPS22958EVM is one such board and kit which provides the designer with the ability to thoroughly evaluate and analyse the features of TPS22958 switch-mode regulators.
The TPS22958EVM contains a range of components which are all intended to allow the user to explore the characteristics of the TPS22958 switch-mode regulators. It includes two TPS22958 SOT-23 regulated devices, two-output stabilizing transformer, two high current shunt resistors and two temperature sensors. It also incorporates a DIPAdaptor with the necessary matching components, enabling on-board test chip connections. This board and kit also provide an adjustable input voltage range, along with several output load selection options and a selection of output current ranges.
The TPS22958EVM also includes a LED that provides visual feedback of the status of the switching frequency, the output mean voltage, and the power-supply load. The board and kit feature adjustable switching frequency, adjustable output voltage, and adjustable peak and valley current for both positive and negative output loads. The adjustable switching frequency can be adjusted to minimize the output noise for different application conditions.
