TPS54040EVM-456 is an evaluation module (EVM) for the TPS54040 synchronous step-down (buck) DC/DC converter which is a member of the TPS540400, 5 A family. This product is a complete low cost evaluation and development resource in a 4 mm × 4 mm, 24-terminal QFN package. The device incorporates an internal power MOSFET, eliminating the need for an external switching device, and provides improved performance over the predecessor series. EVM-456 provides electrical and mechanical interfaces between the user\'s application circuit and the device.

The TPS54040EVM-456 operates from an input voltage of 3.3 V to 40 V, delivering an output voltage range of 0.6 V to 5.5 V, adjustable with a minimum full-load output current of 5 A.
