TXS54233DR is a synchronous Step-Down DC/DC converters that provide high efficiency and very low ground current. It provides an adjustable output up to 5V, operating at up to 2A. The device operates with a frequency range of 300KHz to 1.2Mhz and is available in thermally enhanced PowerPAD™ package.

Working Principle

TPS54233DR operates in synchronous buck-boost mode, which offers a simple yet complete power solution for high current applications with wide input voltage range. The device has a wide input voltage range from 2.3V to 17V and offers an adjustable output voltage of 0.75V to 7V. The output voltage can be adjusted by changing the external resistor from 0Ω to 250Ω.

TPS54233DR has a high frequency range of 300kHz to 1.2MHz, which removes the need for an external compensation circuit and also reduces the number of discrete components. Additionally, the device has an output current of up to 4A with excellent transient and ripple performance.
