Working principle of TP S54240 DRCT

The TP S54240 DRCT operates in a GM (Gated-Mode) topology that features a high-efficiency Fixed-Frequency P-Channel MOSFET (FFPM) and a PGOFF module operating at 4MHz. The PGOFF module is the core of the FFPM, it generates two-phase gate signals that can change the duty cycle and waveform of the FFPM. Via canceling the extra-slow waveform created by the extra-slow duty cycle and waveform, FFPM reduces switching losses.

The PGOFF module also has an adjustable frequency synchronizer that allows the device to reach peak power tracking by synchronization to the external clock, and a programmable over-voltage protection. In addition, the device provides two internal level-shift regulator cells for fast, accurate, and reliable voltage setting.
