Working Principle

This DC-DC buck regulator IC features an adjustable frequency up to 3 MHz, achieved through an external resistor, allowing the device to deliver an output with low ripple, low noise, and wide bandwidth. The on-chip internal low Rds driver enables it to achieve 20% higher efficiency and higher speed with a simpler PCB layout.

The TPS54240DGQ also features a built-in enable pin that allows the user to use external logic to control various functions of voltage and current regulation.
