This device supports up to 16 MHz oscillator frequencies with selectable phase-lock-loop (PLL) or phase shifting mode and can be configured in 1- or 2-phase modes for higher efficiency. The device also supports selectable remote sense/feedback and low-voltage detect output. Output voltage slew rate control can be selected as normal or fast.

The TPS54980PWPRG4 offers high input voltage transient protection up to +/- 30V for robust and reliable operation for sensitive applications. Additionally, the device integrates a soft-start/VTT LDO, various sleep-mode current settings and supports 1- or 2-phase operation with 0.5% accuracy.
