TPS561201DDCT is an ultra-low noise, single-channel, integrated synchronous step-down dc-dc converter device designed to provide excellent performance in terms of efficiency and output noise. The TPS561201DDCT is a synchronous buck converter and it contains two power switches integrated in one monolithic device and two external compensation components. It has a minimum number of external components, allowing a quick and cost-effective design process. The device operates in Step-down buck mode, with the input and output connected in series, this minimizes the voltage drop across the inductor and increases efficiency. The output voltage is adjustable via the integrated error amplifier and the feedback voltage. The internal oscillator sets the switching frequency, which can be adjusted from 200 kHz to 2.2 MHz.

The TPS561201DDCT has several features that improve efficiency, reduce output noise, and reduce the input ripple on the power supply. It has an integrated over-current protection (OCP) circuit to prevent the device from entering an over-current state and has three gate drivers for improved gate drive capability. In PFM mode, the device switches at a lower, fixed frequency and adjusts the duty-cycle to maintain the output voltage.
