The TPS5615EVM-115 is a powerful and versatile tool designed to evaluate the performance characteristics of the TPS5615 single–phase synchronous buck controller. The device offers significant improvements in efficiency and transient response times compared to other similar evaluation boards. The TPS5615EVM-115 evaluation board has two separate and independent power sockets compatible with a variety of different input AC/DC and DC/DC forces. The evaluation board has two output power sockets, each rated at 25W, with ≤ 1% output voltage accuracy and current delivery up to 8A. The adjustable output voltage range from 5V to 24V is available for both outputs so that it can be used as a multiple-output power supply.
The TPS5615EVM-115 evaluation board has an operating frequency range of 500 kHz to 2.2 MHz and a wide input voltage range from 90V to 265V ac. It also features the industry’s only adjustable peak current mode control technique, providing advanced transient protection with fast transient response, even at very low load currents. This makes it suitable for a variety of sensitive applications, such as medical and consumer products.
The TPS5615EVM-115 evaluation board incorporates several protection features, including overcurrent, overvoltage, and overtemperature protection.
