Working Principle

The TPS562200DDCR also incorporates a peak current-limit circuit, over-temperature protection, and soft-start features. The peak current-limit circuit limits the peak current that flows through the inductor and the switches, protecting them from damage. The over-temperature protection activates when the temperature of the module reaches a predetermined level, causing the output voltage to be reduced until the temperature returns to a safe operating range. The soft-start circuit ramps the output voltage slowly over a period of time, minimizing the amount of stress put on the components during start-up.
