The TPS568215OARNNR uses an advanced low dropout control architecture to provide high-accuracy, low-noise output voltage regulation. A PWM controlled switching power supply dynamically regulates the output voltage while providing high efficiency. The LDO is used to provide a low-noise output with very low output resistance.The switching power supply is capable of providing up to 6-A sink/source current and can provide high power conversion efficiency. The LDO is capable of providing up to 3-A sink/source current and can provide output voltage accuracy better than ±1.25% over line and load.The PWM control loop works by sensing the output voltage and comparing it (via feedback signal) with a reference voltage. The error signal generated by the signal difference is then used to control the duty cycle of a P-type FET. In this way, the P-type FET acts as a switch between the input voltage and the output voltage, so as to directly regulate the output voltage.The LDO works by sensing the output voltage and comparing it with a reference voltage.
