The TPS60311DGS is a smart, high-efficiency, synchronous mode step-down DC-DC converter designed for battery powered applications. It provides a high 4A current switch with a wide 4.5V to 20V input voltage range, and can work with an input voltage up to 40V in boost mode. The device can operate in either the PWM fixed frequency mode, the frequency can be programmed from 100 kHz to 2 MHz, or in the skip mode adaptive frequency mode. It features an integrated high-side PMOS and low-side NMOS, as well as a low on-resistance power switch. With a small size of 6.15mmx3.60mm and RDS(on) being two minimum settings of 125mΩ / 175mΩ, this tiny DC-DC converter provides high efficiency and minimum area size, yet offers a great flexibility in application.
