TPS62046DGQ is a DC-DC PoL (point-of-load) Step-Down Converter designed to deliver output power in a variety of load conditions from 0.6 A to as high as 5 A. It is designed with a switch mode control architecture to provide excellent dynamic load regulation and transient load regulation.The TPS62046DGQ\'s operating frequency is adjustable up to 1 MHz, allowing the device to be tailored to meet the performance requirements of a wide variety of applications. When disabled, it not only consumes nearly zero quiescent current, but also immediately powers off the output when the voltage at EN drops below the internal logic threshold.The device incorporates internal short circuit, thermal, and undervoltage monitoring. When SOFT is asserted, the output voltage spikes and the short circuit protection is initiated, by shutting off the internal power switch. This effectively reduces the peak power associated with the short circuit condition. When the external R_SENSE is connected and thermal shutdown is enabled, the device will reduce the output current or disable the chip based on the junction temperature that is sensed by an internal temperature sensing diode.The TPS62046DGQ is a cost-efficient, high-performance DC-DC converter.
