The TPS62088EVM-814 DC/DC & AC/DC (Off-Line) SMPS Evaluation Board is designed to evaluate Ti’s TPS62088, a single-phase synchronous buck regulator with adjustable output voltage that can provide up to 8A of load current. The TPS62088 integrates the gate driver, high-side and low-side MOSFETs and power-saving features such as Burst Mode, Forced PWM mode and Thermal Shutdown in an ultra small thermally enhanced 20-pin TSSOP package.

The TPS62088EVM-814 Evaluation Board makes it easy to evaluate the performance of the TPS62088 in typical Off-Line SMPS applications. It is also a great platform to evaluate the device operational behavior and performance under various environmental conditions. The Evaluation Board is configured with a 20-pin TSSOP TPS62088 chip, an external operating frequency compensation network made up of C2 and R7 components, an input voltage selection of 12V or 24V, and an adjustable output voltage making it easy to adjust to a wide range of output voltages.The Evaluation Board also includes an integrated gate drive for the low-side MOSFET and comes with an integrated Type-II compensation network with an externally adjustable frequency range of 600kHz-750kHz. In addition to the integrated Gate Driver, the Evaluation Board also includes an externally adjustable Current limit, Soft-Start features that provide a ramp up of 1.5ms for the system, and Power Good status monitoring.The Evaluation Board’s features makes it ideal for evaluation of the TPS62088 for DC/DC & AC/DC (Off-Line) SMPS applications, such as high efficiency ac-dc adapters for portable electronics, distributed dc-dc converters, telecom power supplies, chargers for portable electronics, and motor control systems.
