Working Principles

The TPS65167RHARG4 uses a pulse-width modulation (PWM) controller with a synchronous buck configuration to drive an internal FET and generate a regulated output voltage. The output voltage is adjustable and can be set with an external voltage divider from a minimum of 4 V to a maximum of 20 V. The controller features a current mode architecture with a fixed frequency of 600 kHz, which can be adjusted from 1 kHz to 3 MHz with a RC network.
