The transistor amplifier provides the necessary current to adjust the output voltage. The voltage divider is also used to accurately control the output voltage.The output voltage is then monitored by a comparator which compares the output voltage with the reference voltage. If the output voltage is higher than the reference voltage, the output is decreased, and vice versa.
