When the potential between the anode and the cathode is reduced or removed, the capacitance of the capacitor decreases, indicating that the capacitor has been discharged.Tantalum capacitors are widely used in high performance and high reliability applications due to their low leakage, low ESR and excellent accuracy. They are also known for their high temperature performance and are suitable for use in extreme temperature environments.
