RF Evaluation and Development Kits, Boards
TRF1115EVM is a metal-to-plastic tuning block evaluation module that evaluates the performance of multiple RF applications. This module kit is designed for evaluation, development, and tuning of the TRF01904RFK International Frequency Block transmitter. It allows development engineers to quickly evaluate the block’s RF performance on a variety of circuits while utilizing the board’s RF tuning capabilities. The module consists of a printed circuit board (PCB) with multiple inputs and outputs as well as two tuning blocks: a metal-to-plastic and a plastic-to-plastic tuning block.
The module has input/output ports for connecting antennas, cables, and other RF circuits; a radio frequency (RF) Link interface for attaching transceiver coils; pins for connecting external active components, and a microcontroller for controlling the tuning. The RF Link interface has four connections for connecting and controlling the coils, the antenna link, and the output circuits. The input/output ports are designed to handle a wide range of RF frequencies with a low signal loss.
The board’s metal-to-plastic tuning block is designed to resist thermal instability and ensure high power transfer when used at frequencies up to 1 GHz. This block contains a metal resistance element with a ceramic core that is thermally protected by a flexible sheet metal sleeve that allows a soft transition between the metal and plastic parts.
