The TRF2052PW is a high-performance Integrated Frequency Synthesizer module providing complete phase-locked loop (PLL) functions for frequency synthesis applications. It is designed for manufacturers who need to produce a number of different short range frequency dependent applications with a minimum of components. The internal phase lock loop provides a high resolution, low phase jitter clock signal essential for satisfactory performance with high frequency applications.

The TRF2052PW module consists of a TrueXE PLL and a TrueXE synthesizer core with a differential input signal and a programmable output signal. The synthesizer core is configured to generate a signal up to one of 900MHz depending on the application requirements. The PLL includes an integral loop filter allowing a wide range of input frequencies to be used with the core, allowing it to be used in a variety of applications such as wireless, base station and satellite navigation systems, as well as in radars, digital video, audio and other frequency related systems.

The module also provides an integrated Voltage-Controlled Oscillator (VCO), which allows for a wide range of frequency control spanning from a few kHz to several GHz. It also includes multiple DC supply pins for easy connection to external power sources and a dual output pad for easy single-ended or differential outputs. The module provides a programmable divider/blanking circuit which allows for precise timing and frequency control.

In order to ensure optimum performance, the TRF2052PW is designed with built-in temperature compensation, enabling it to maintain stable operation in a wide range of temperature environments. It also includes a built-in crystal oscillator, allowing for reliable operation with minimal drift or jitter.
