The TRF3761-EIRHAT is a high-performance, low-power clock and timing solution designed for establishing the source and control of frequency synthesis in a variety of dense, integrated applications. This solution is found in the Clock/Timing category, specifically Clock Generators, PLLs, and Frequency Synthesizers.Since operational frequency is managed by the crystal, or by an external reference clock, a logic circuit is needed to control the frequency of the generated waveforms. The onboard Frequency Synthesizer allows the user to adjust the output waveform within a range of 91.7kHz - 200MHz. The waveform can be controlled through the use of an external resistor network or by a standard modulating waveform generated by an external logic circuit.The TRF3761-EIRHAT has been designed to provide low jitter, low noise clock output signals with a control range of 0.05Hz to 200MHz. It achieves high levels of repeatability and linearity by utilizing a combination of quartz crystals and external resistors. Its low noise, low jitter output is because of the active crystal oscillator and digital frequency control components integrated into the device.The integrated oscillator also provides a wide range of options for clock frequency selection through its Digital Frequency Control Interface. This interface allows the TRF3761-EIRHAT to be used with oscillators ranging from 1.2MHz up to 200MHz with a resolution of 0.2Hz. Additionally, the programmable phase detector makes it possible to use the device as a phase-locked loop.The TRF3761-EIRHAT also features an integrated phase-locked loop (PLL) with a control range of 0.05Hz to 10MHz. The PLL synthesizes and generates the same frequency waveform as the output waveform, while also providing improved linearity. This makes the TRF3761-EIRHAT especially well suited for use in applications requiring a high-quality waveform and repeatability.The TRF3761-EIRHAT also offers a built-in duty cycle buffer and amplitude control block.
