TRF37C73EVM Application Field and Working PrincipleThe TRF37C73EVM is a Texas Instruments RF Evaluation and Development Kit, Board. The board has a wide range of applications that make it appropriate and effective for a variety of uses.This board helps users to develop, evaluate and prototype Single-Chip RF Transceivers for applications such as digital RF, ultra-low power communication, and applications that require a high accuracy, rugged, scalable, and low-power transceiver solution. The board is designed to support multiple radio communications protocols, including ISM, Bluetooth Low Energy, and more.At the heart of the TRF37C73EVM, is the TRF37C73, a wideband microwave transceiver for RF signal conditioning applications. The transceiver contains two independent transceivers in a single package, covering the frequency range from DC to 8GHz. This board also provides on-board support for a variety of modules, including the TRF37C73 digital downconverter, which converts low-power signals such as single-frequency radio up to 8GHz into baseband signals, with dual 8-bit ADCs, and the TRF37C73 Analog Pre-Scanner (APSC).The board supports a variety of evaluation scenarios, including carrier aggregation, single-antenna designs, and multiple-connected subscribers (MC-Subs). The TRF37C73EVM board comes integrated with an RF impedance matching network, which provides maximization of signal power and minimization of signal reflections. The TRF37C73EVM board comes in two parts: a hardware development board and a software development kit. The hardware development board allows users to design, build, and test RF prototypes. It runs on the TI OMAP-L138 MCU embedded with the TRF37C73 RF transceiver. The board requires an external power supply, but can also be used with battery backup. Its key features include two ADC inputs and one DAC output, each supporting two 8-bit parallel data conversion.The software development kit supports a variety of applications, including system-level analysis, test and measurements, and evaluation.
