TRS3238EIDBR is an interface-drivers, receivers, and transceivers that provide high-speed data/signal transmission over different line topologies. It is specifically designed to bridge communication between standard and non-standard line topologies, e.g. laser and copper mediums, as well as support data transmission over SMPTE-style backplanes.
The TRS3238EIDBR may be used for different applications including digital-video, audio and data over long distances, as well as looping or daisy-chain application in limited or extended distances. It also serves as a bridge between digital-video and analog signals, allowing real-time conversion between the various signal formats.

Working Principle
The TRS3238EIDBR is designed as a receiver, transceiver and driver all-in-one and utilizes a wide range of differential signal pairings for data and/or signal transfer. It supports a signal rate up to 12Gbps, which is ideal for long-distance transmission and for the uses of multiplexing and parallelizing of data streams over multiple signal pairs, both within and outside the single frame.
The internal architecture of the TRS3238EIDBR is based upon a four-channel transceiver, with each channel being assigned a single pair of differential signaling. The signal pairs are further supplemented by a dedicated differential clock pair. All four channels are also compliant with the speeds up to 12Gbps, allowing data transfer at three times the speed of the clock.
The TRS3238EIDBR features a galvanic isolation of 2000V in the form of digital-code modulation, which ensures that the signal integrity is preserved and supports digital input as well as multi-bit output, eliminating the need for an additional device for decoding the signals.
The TRS3238EIDBR is equipped with a low power consumption operation, making it ideal for the areas where low power consumption is a key consideration. With a power consumption of only 600mW, the TRS3238EIDBR is capable of transferring large blocks of data while maintaining low levels of latency, ensuring maximization of energy efficiency.
