Working Principle

The TSV912IST is a precision instrumentation amplifier which operates by taking two differential inputs and supplying one differential output. The input transistors include two diff-pair transistors, each having one NPN type, which represents the positive input, and one PNP type, which represents the negative input. In operation, when a differential input voltage is applied between the two inputs, the two output transistors generate a differential output voltage. The output voltage is proportional to the magnitude of the input voltage and the gain is determined by the ratio of the resistances of the drain resistors in the output transistors. The gain of the amplifier is accurately set by adjusting the output current and the feedback resistor.
