TVS diodes are used to protect sensitive circuitry from high voltage and high-energy electrical transients. The TV15C180J-G is a transient voltage suppressor (TVS) device designed to protect sensitive and high voltage electronic devices from overvoltage and power surge events. This TVS diode is designed for high-energy transient protection, and it can also be used for reverse-bias protection of CMOS devices such as microprocessors, memory chips and other integrated circuits.
