TVB140NSC-L, an integrated overvoltage protection thyristor (TVS), belongs to a family of Thyristor Voltage Suppressors composed of a Thyristor structure connected in parallel with a silicon avalanche diode. It is specially designed to protect circuit from transient overvoltage, so as to protect capacitive type load and helps to avoid destruction induced by voltage spikes.
