TVS - Diodes, also known as Transient Voltage Suppression Diodes in short TVS-Diodes, have been quickly replacing the use of the gas discharge tubes and other types of diodes for protection against surge voltages for electrical appliances. More specifically, the TVS8151MUTBG, which is a bi-directional Unidir triggering Transient Voltage Suppressor (TVS) Diode, is designed to provide the same level of protection, but with a higher degree of starting voltage and improved transference of power.
