The TW2804-FE-EVAL Evaluation Board from Texas Instruments is an evaluation board that provides a platform for evaluation and demonstration of the TI TW2804 Front-End Clusters.

The TW2804 family is a unique Front-End Cluster comprised of a TW2804 RF and UI subsystems. The TW2804 RF subsystem is a seven-lobe variable gain low noise amplifier (LNA) and a single-balanced mixer. The TW2804 UI subsystem is a peak detector, 3-dB coupler, 50Ω transmits-lobe, two-stage power amplifier, and duplexer. The TW2804 UI is fully programmable and is ideal for a variety of applications such as GSM, CDMA, and WCDMA.

The TW2804-FE-EVAL Evaluation Board is designed to allow users to easily evaluate the full range of capabilities of the TW2804 family. It includes a reference design that allows users to develop a customized front-end solution based on their own requirements. The reference design is customizable through a PSoC Programmable System on Chip development environment. This allows for flexible design and implementation of the TW2804 in a wide variety of end-user applications.
