TW2834-PA3-GE is widely used in various video and audio applications due to its scalability and performance. It can be applied in HDTV, audio-video interconnection, distributed AV systems, automotive infotainment, broadcast and postproduction, communication and surveillance, military applications, home entertainment, and other multimedia products. • Video and audio processing: it can process and compress multiple HD/UHD video, extract HD audio and Dolby AC-3 audio, support downmixing and other linear video post-processing.
• Picture-in-picture (PIP) support: TWPA3 provides a comprehensive picture-in-picture management for digital video and audio streams, allowing user to show multiple video streams in 1 display.
• Frame rate conversion: TWPA3 can convert from 60/50/48/24/23.98 Hz to 30/15/12/9/6 Hz for video stream, and support sample rate conversion for audio stream.
• Advanced video enhancement features: including de-interlacing, edge enhancement, 3D motion adaptive de-noise, and compressor/expander.

TW2834-PA3-GE Working Principle

The TW2834-PA3-GE contains an ARM Cortex-A53 CPU, a Linux operating system, a quad-core VE engine, and various connected multi-media interfaces. It can support 4 x HDMI2.0bt1.4a Input/Output audio and video streams, 1 x 4K 60Hz frame rate support and various interfaces including Inter-IC Sound (I2S), Serial Digital Interface (SDI), High-Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI), and Optical Audio Interface (OAI).TwPA3 provide several integrated HW encode/decode codecs such as H.265/H.264/H.263 for encode/decode of compressed video stream and AAC/MP3 for encode/decode of audio stream, which reduce the external components and cost. For real-time linear video processing, the VE engine plays an important role in hardware-acceleration. The programmable hardware of VE engine supports various image processing algorithms, such as image crop and scale, color space conversion, and de-interlace. It also has security acceleration engine and selective encryption support.
