It also includes voltage blocking, switch mode power supplies, AC power supply and AC/DC rectification.The working principle of UBA2070P/N1,112 is relatively straightforward. It contains two separated dimming circuits which in turn can control two different ballasts. UBA2070P/N1,112 uses zero-crossing detection technique to detect current passing across zero level. When this occurs, the circuit automatically checks for the required dimming level and accordingly adjusts the voltage.The UBA2070P/N1,112 consists of two parts - dimmer and controller. The dimmer is responsible for providing the correct dimming level while the controller is responsible for controlling the ballasts in synchronization with the dimmer.The dimmer consists of two mutually exclusive AC switches (MOSFETs) which can directly control the amount of current passing through the ballast transformer at the moment when the ballast transformer voltage reaches its desired level. The MOSFETs used in this circuit have built-in protection against overcurrent, overvoltage and short circuits.The controller ensures that both of the dimmer circuits work together to provide the desired dimming level. It consists of a linear regulator, comparator, clock and feedback circuit. The controller is responsible for monitoring the dimmer circuits and comparing the detected dimming levels. If there is any discrepancies between them, the controller will activate or deactivate the corresponding dimmer circuit and thus adjust the dimming level accordingly.All in all, UBA2070P/N1,112 is a power management integrated circuit designed specifically for lighting, ballast and dimming applications. It consists of dimmer and controller which work together to provide the desired dimming level.
