UC3611N belongs to a class of electronic diodes known as rectifier arrays. As its name implies, a rectifier array is a series of multiple diodes arrayed together. Rectifier arrays have many applications, but the UC3611N model is specifically designed to provide several functions in one single device, thus making it a suitable choice for power applications. The UC3611N is a 2-phase, 3-terminal integrated circuit rectifier specifically designed for maximum power conversion efficiency and very high current output.

The UC3611N is a monolithic integrated circuit (IC) manufactured from gallium arsenide. This allows the IC to work efficiently at both higher and lower temperatures. Also, the UC3611N device is designed to support medium and high voltage levels, lending itself to various types of power supplies.

The UC3611N has two main operating modes, pulse-width control and linear control.
