It is designed for full bridge, half bridge, and SEPIC topologies and can be used in both isolated and non-isolated switchmode power conversion applications.The UCC2806N features wide input voltage range operation from 4V to 35V and has adjustable soft-start to reduce stress on the power supply at start up. The integrated high-side startup clamp helps prevent high frequency noise generation due to voltage transients during start up and short circuits. The UCC2806N can drive power MOSFETs up to 10A, making it suitable for a wide range of applications.UCC2806N has a variety of applications including offline power conversion, DC to DC converters, switched-mode power supplies, and ripple control applications. In the Pulse Frequency Modulated (PFM) mode, it is used as a regulator where the output voltage is regulated by controlling the on-time duration of the power switches. In the Fixed On-time (FOTM) mode, the UCC2806N is used to set the maximum on-time of the power switches. Finally, in the Burst Mode (BM) mode, the UCC2806N is used to control the peak-to-peak output current during light load conditions.The UCC2806N also features integrated output current and voltage protection. The output current is protected by an adjustable overcurrent limit, which is active in all operating modes of the device.
