The UCD3040PFCR is a high-efficiency Power Factor Corrector (PFC) controller that combines both primary and secondary sides of the power supply within a single, highly integrated device.The unique design of the UCD3040PFCR ensures high efficiency and regulated output.This PFC controller enables designs to achieve high power factor, low harmonic distortion and low standby power, in compliance with the latest EN61000-3-2 and EN61000-3-2 requirements, through a single-stage power factor correction circuit. It is designed to operate in both Critical Conduction Mode (CRM) and Discontinuous Conduction Mode (DCM).The UCD3040PFCR is designed to precision control of the input current and output voltage of the power supply. The input voltage range is adjustable via a resistor, making it suitable for both 400VAC and 500VAC rectified AC line inputs. The device features a digital/analog temperature compensation loop and a proprietary high-resolution K-factor control loop.The UCD3040PFCR allows system designers to achieve high PF, high efficiency, and low total harmonic distortion, thus providing a better EMI performance for the overall power supply design.
