The UFT40020D is composed of four integrated Phase Sum Rectifiers (PSR). Each PSR is composed of two interconnected Schottky diodes. The P-channel MOSFETs of each PSR are always on, allowing the PSR to deliver integrated Synchronous rectification as well as providing a continuous current during switch-off conditions.
The UFT40020D also features an optimized architecture with low forward voltage drop (VF) (0.38V typical) and low reverse recovery charge (Qr) (5nC typical) for improved efficiency and lower input rippled current. The PSR’s are also designed with anti-parallel control diodes to provide over-current protection in case of a short circuit.
In addition, the UFT40020D offers two thermal protections. Over-temperature protection stops the PSR from activating in the case of high temperature conditions, while short-circuit protection turns off the device if over-current occurs.
The UFT40020D is available in uSOP-4 and PowerPAK SO-8L packages, making it ideal for applications with limited board space. The device is also RoHS and REACH compliant.
