Working Principle

The UH6PDHM3_A/H rectifier module works on the principle of the full bridge rectifier circuit.In this circuit, a transformer is used to convert AC voltage to adjustable DC voltage.Four-stage diodes D1, D2, D3 and D4 are used for rectification.

Initially, when there is no voltage applied, the transistor is in open state, and there is no current flow. When a negative voltage is applied to the cathode, the base-emitter junction becomes reverse biased and the transistor is turned on. This allows current to flow from the cathode to anode and the diode will start conducting.

The four diodes act as switches to turn on and off the circuit. When the voltage reaches the forward conduction voltage of the diode, the diode will start conducting and current will flow through the diode.When a positive voltage is applied to the anode, the diode will switch off, and the circuit will be in the reverse bias state.

In the forward bias condition, the voltage applied across the diode equals the forward voltage drop of the diode and this will cause a current to flow from the anode to the cathode. In the case of the lower voltage applied to the anode, it will open the diode and no current will flow. Thus, the effective working of the UH6PDHM3_A/H depends on the working voltage applied to the anode.
