UMN20NTR Diodes - Rectifiers - ArraysThe UMN20NTR is a rectifier, dual DPAK cooled converter, manufactured and sold by UMC Corporation. It can provide a current flow of 40A continuous and 60A pulsed. This converter has an in-build diode array and rectifier feature which allows it to offer enhanced performance.The UMN20NTR is a two-terminal device designed to convert alternating current (AC) to direct current (DC). It utilizes four diodes connected in series/parallel in order to rectify the AC and convert it to DC. Each diode acts to reverse the current flow direction depending on the input voltage polarity, thus mimicking a half-wave rectifier. Furthermore, the UMN20NTR also has an integrated forward voltage (Vf) clamp as an additional protection feature to protect the diode from an overvoltage transient. Additionally, a EMI filter is integrated into the device which helps reduce electromagnetic interference emissions.The UMN20NTR is suitable for a variety of applications, such as solar inverter, AC-DC power supply, and auxiliary voltage source. Solar inverters are using the UMN20NTR to convert AC electricity generated by the solar cells into DC electricity that can be used directly.
