V10E17P Application Field and Working Principle

V10E17P is a type of transient voltage suppressor (TVS) specially designed for surge and overvoltage protection. It is used to protect electronic products or equipment from unexpected surges, spikes, and other voltage transients. A V10E17P also functions as a direct voltage protection tool to maintain a clean and safe environment.

The V10E17P consists of a three-terminal, 2-layer, monolithic resistor-diode network, mounted in a hermetically sealed 0.5 square inch package. When the device is exposed to a high frequency spike or surge, the voltage of the waveform is clamped to a regulated 16V output voltage. The device is constructed with an anode beneath a two-layer conductive oxide (TCO) layer of silicon dioxide and gallium nitride. As a transient suppressor, the device will only function when the leakage current of the device is reduced to zero.
